I have a 16 year old step daughter ive been married to her father since she was 8. She lives with her mother who has had a drug problem and many many gangster boyfriends and is obviously distracted. Child serveces deems her to be a fit mother anyhow. Ive tried all the custody stuff too. I love this little girl as my own and i want so much to help her with womanhood and whatnot. But i feel its a touchy subject seeing as im not her mother. I just dont feel her mom is doing the right thing. My stepdaughter suffers from a genetic blood disorder called thallasemia and recieves blood transfusions monthly. Im terrified she will get pregnant. And i just dont want her to suffer with the dangerous concequences she would likley have a stillborn/misscarrige or she may get very sick. I want to be there for her but her mom can do no wrong in her eyes. Should i just leave it to her mom and see how it goes. Or intrude and possibly make her hate me for trying to take her moms place. Idk. Ive always wondered this. Sorry i dont know how to explain this. She is a stubborn girl who probably thinks shes made of steel and can beat the odds and not get pregnant just because shes sick.
