Pregnant & On Depo Privera?

So, I'm on the depo shot and have been for two years now. I know there is no birth control that is 100% effective and that anything can happen. But for about two days now, I've felt really nauseous and have had awful heartburn. I've thought maybe I was gassy or that I had a virus of some kind. But I don't know how to explain the exact way of what it feels like.
I've not heard of many cases of pregnancy while getting the depo shot, but I'm due for one in less than a month and we have sex on a regular basis. Should I take a test to cancel out what it could be or to make sure that it's not pregnancy? Or could it be something else?

Could be the shot. I hated it when i was on it. Take the test to be sure or when you o yo get your shot let the doctor know how you are feeling they may test you. Also i have been using condoms since i had my daughter 9 years ago nothing else and i haven't gotten pregnant. Hope you feel better

Thank you. I've been on it for two years and I haven't had a single problem with it. I know it's different for everyone. But this is the first time I've felt like this, ever. So I'm gonna get a test just in case.

I fell pregnant on the depo provera injection. I still had periods each month lighter but still bled. I went on it origionally to help with excessively heavy periods and birth control. I did a few tests they were bfn so i thought it must be a side effect of the injection. I had no sickness or symptoms of pregnancy as such just my boobs hurt and i felt bit off key. I continued daily and forgot about it altogether got my due injections upon good time negative test before given the injection. Then i came down suddenly with severe diarrhea and sickness week before christmas and i went gp they said it was likely food poisoning which was a possibility id had a take away. Got so severe i went casualty they put me on a drip again tested negative, after rehydration i got given pain killers and home i went still feeling pretty rubbish and in pain but doctors told me it was expected and will clear withen next 48hrs so reluctantly i dragged myself home. Two hours later pain became imense ans i cudnt hack it anymore the stronger painkillers give IV had worn off so i went back to AE and as i got into majors this overwelming feeling to push came and along came my girl xmas eve 2004 in the middle of AE with a very stunned partner and team around me. I never in a million years expected it to happen to me and its something i laugh about now but wasnt funny at the time!! If your gut instinct tells you your pregnant dont ignore it and land up dropping like me. Dont put symptoms to other things get yourself scanned and confirm whats happening. Yes its rare but im living proof with a 11 year old girl it happens. Dont let doctors try tell you its in your head or a side effect to the depo either because truat me theyll all try this. Good luck
