Endometriosis
Hello my name is Sjockiea aka Kiea and I am 33. For the past 20 years or so I have been back and forth to the doctor for pain so severe that I could not walk. I would ball up in the floor crying. Well this February I went to the e.r yet again and I didn't see a doctor this time I saw a np nurse practitioner. He spoke with me and seemed really concerned. He was the first person in all these years to order a ct scan and what he found was life altering. He found two masses in pelvic area. One was the size of a grapefruit and the other was as long and wide as a cucumber. I immediately saw a specialist who was very understanding and pulled all my medical history and found out that one doctor discovered the mass and never informed me. Because I am 33 with no children my doctor refused to take away my ability to have children. He found an awesome doctor who could save the organs I need to have a child. I had my surgery on March 17th 2016 and today I am home recovering. I can honestly say that the pain from my surgery is not even worst then the worst pain I experienced due to my endometriosis. I am so thankful to God and my doctor and the nurse practitioner who took the time to actually listen to me. If you have pain, be persistent make sure the doctors you are seeing care enough to really find out what's wrong with your body. I'm on the road to recovery and now I'm just waiting to find out if the masses removed are cancerous. I believe the worst is over. I just wanted to share this to help someone
