Do you expect your SO to have sex with you when you want it?

I have had a really high sex drive the past week. I assumed my husband wanted the same thing. He rejected me 5 out of the 7 days. I'm hurt by this because I felt like I got to comfortable with our relationship. I let my guard down all I asked for was 1 week of sex that's it. Now I don't want it because I feel like an idiot and humiliated by my actions of acting like a "whore" I guess you would say.

I don't always give it to him when he wants it and neither does he when I want it. It isn't a big deal for us.

I've been in the same boat. It hurts to be rejected by the one who says they love you. I've previously even been accused of being a sex addict by an ex (though I still feel his lack of a sex drive was the real issue). I've have always felt a partner should be available when the other is in the mood, unfortunately I seem to be the one who gets turned down the most.

When I'm in the mood he's in the mood but if I'm not somehow he always gets me in the mood. Every night we go to bed saying we're not going to have sex and we end up having sex lol

My sex drive is higher than my husband's so I'd like to have frequently. However he's usually too tired or doesn't want to. And turns me down alot. I usually just wait til he's asleep and take care of myself. I was getting hurt by being rejected,  but sometimes it's easier just to masturbate instead of fight with him. He's told me alot that it has nothing to do with me and that it's stress from work and that he's gained alot of weight and doesn't Ike how he looks or feels. I don't always want sex so why would I expect him to. If he came to me for sex and I said no for whatever reason he would begin to feel like you do. Only fair for him to do the same when it's me that wants it. It's upsetting at the time, it really is. Not saying this is what has happened to you, just in my experience. Chin up, it will pass. Mine only wants it like twice a week, which is less than it used to be. So either his drive changed or the spark is gone for him.  I prefer more but there's noting I can do about it but accept it. I've tried talking to him about it and nothing good ever results. He hates when I bring it up.

It took a while for my husband's sex drive to catch up to mine.

We did a diet overhaul for him (and me) plus he started working out. So now instead of him struggling to keep up with the 2-8 times a day (depending on where I am in my cycle) he's happy to meet my needs.

That being said, definitely talk to him about it. You're not being a whore, it's totally normal to want to jump your partner's bones. Maybe that work week was terrible, or they were too sleepy!

No, you're not always both going to be in the mood at the same time and you have to give each other the respect and space to be... otherwise it will cause resentment. and realize that it most likely doesn't have to do with you at all. Most importantly, realize that you can't make people have sex with you whenever you want them to.

You can't expect them to do it when you want it and they don't.. sex should be when you both want it. My partner has a lower sex drive than me and only wants it every few days.. I can't force him to do it more.
