Induction?

Question

I told my doctor I'd like to stay away from Pitocin if at all possible so he suggested that we try to breaking my water first. Has anyone had this type of induction and if so was it successful without the Pitocin?

Out of curiousity why the no pitocin? That's the one my doctor would like to use next week. I'm really nervous about being induced, I'm hoping she decides to come on her own instead.

Pitocin with water breaking started contractions but ended in emergency c section for me....once you break your water you only have so long to get baby out....
