Experience with endometriosis?

What are your experiences with endometriosis? How long did the diagnosis take? What did they do to diagnose? How is it treated? How did it affect your sex life etc?

Answer

I don't have it but my best friend does. She recently got diagnosed with stage 4 and it was on both ovaries, uterus, and gi tract. She experiences pain in her lower stomach and back, huge blood clots and extremely bad bleeding.
