Feeling judged for my scheduled c section
Hey everyone! I'm pregnant with my first- due next month. I am so excited to have my first baby, although this pregnancy has been very scary. I can't believe I've made it this long! Due to medical reasons (bicornuate uterus, hypertension, interstitial cystitis to name a few) I'm having a c section . It's scheduled to 39 weeks. My hope is that I make it to then without going into labor. Yesterday was a tough day for me. I am a teacher, and they told me I can't work anymore - that I'm going to need to take it super easy to not go into preterm labor. I spent the day in labor and delivery and had a nurse who was very critical of my OB saying that I should still try for a vaginal birth. Then, I'm in a group on Facebook, and asked a question about Preterm labor and had people tell me my doctor was "cut happy " and I was ignorant for agreeing to a c section.
Has anyone else experienced these negative, judgemental comments? 😢
