How can one tell you they love you but their actions show the complete opposite?

Because they want to manipulate you or don't know the real meaning of love. I've had several past bf who said they loved me of course they proved they didn't. Now with my husband who ive been with 10.5 years married 9.5 years. That man loves me. He has stood by me through addiction an lots of other things an never tried to "get me back". Im forever greatful for him being by my side. Don't let no man make you feel less than a queen

In my opinion, the Best definition of love can be found in 1 Corinthians 13

This is where "actions speak louder than words" comes into play. Never EVER stay with someone who says one thing but does or shows the opposite. It's not healthy, huge red flag of an unhealthy relationship. I wish I would've known that when I was a teen lol. Learned the hard way, some people just have to.
