Being caught... Good or bad?

Question

So I'm 16 and had sex at 15 however only used condoms. I realised it was a mistake and wasn't happy so I haven't had sex since and still not exactly planning to but if it happens I know I won't regret it if that makes sense. 
Anyway my mum always said to tell her so I can get put on birth control but I was too much of a wimp. 
Tonight tho we got caught being all heated in my hot tub which I know is going to lead to 'are you having Sex' questions. 
So from this my question is, do you think I should take the opportunity and just say we are thinking about it and act like we A haven't before, just so I can get the birth control or is that super immature?

I think u should be honest. Tell ur mom u did it once when u were younger but u stopped because u want to be responsible about this. However it might happen again and u need precautions. She will appreciate ur honesty believe me

Personally I think you should. I'm 17 and I told my mom & dad a few weeks ago. I don't think your mom will be mad if she alread told you to come to her for birth control. It may be awkward for a little while but it passes In a week or so. Even if your not going to be having sex anytime soon birth control can help with regulating your periods, making them lighter etc. also you may end up changing your mind about having sex and if you're on Some type of birth control you won't have to worry. Personally I think it's a good idea. You don't need to tell her about your first time at 15. It's completely up to you if you want to share that with her.
