Lab-created Rings??? 💍

Question

What are your opinions on lab-created stones for engagement rings?? I keep seeing these beautiful engagement rings and then I look at the description and it says "lab-created". I'm not sure if it's something to worry about or if I should feel jipped when I see one. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy with anything for an engagement ring (ok maybe not ANYTHING) but those lab-created rings looks so pretty! 😩 I just wanna see what your opinions are on them!

Lab rings eliminate the possibility of it being a "blood diamond" or a diamond that was mined in negative circumstances. They're still beautiful, and meaningful!

I had a lab created diamond and I'll never look back. We got a nice size for a fraction of the cost and you can't tell the difference. What is the point of spending thousands of dollars on a stone... Does it make your marriage better? No.

I would go for it. Diamonds are a dime a dozen and worthless, really. Just because they're expensive doesn't make them any better than any other ring. I've always made it very clear that I'd rather have a ring that meant something (handed down from generation to generation, etc.) than some rub of the mill diamond from a dealer.

I've seen a lot of people comment saying they are still considered precious gems and that just isn't true you could call any Jeweler to find that out I only know so much because my husband refused to buy me anything man-made he want somebody up in the mountains digging that diamond out of that rock for me LOL but the biggest difference is the price and that is the reason why they can be easily created in a lab but there's nothing easy about actually going and mining for gems in different places around the world that is why a real Stone will always cost much more than the man-made kind because it is synthetic so to speak and was not found naturally created by Mother Earth LOL and I don't want to get any hate this is my husband's choice and seeing as he is the one getting them for me he can choose man-made he can choose Earth made LOL doesn't matter to me as long as it comes from the man I love

I think they're fine! As long as they have the same chemical composition and the same crystal structure, I'm cool with it! :)

In my opinion they are still REAL. They are still considered diamonds or precious gems. They were just man made vs made naturally. I wouldn't be opposed to lab created rings.

If it looks great then go for it! Real diamonds are inherently worthless anyways!

Tell me if you can tell a difference? I love my "lab created" diamond. My ring is white gold with that that stone(I don't know the carats) and we only paid 350 dollars in all! I love my ring to death. The other ring is for our baby which is Pandora so it are silver and cubic zarconia so it does look different and my engagement ring is dirty for working outside so it looks like a film on it but it normally doesn't
