Week 6 and Dry- no CM

I read some posts talking about early pregnancy symptoms and increased cervical mucus. I'm 6 weeks, but have been very dry the past few days, almost to the point of discomfort. I haven't noticed any spotting on my panty liner, but I have seen some tiny bright red specks after wiping. I'm thinking its due to the dryness? Can anyone relate?
