Birth Control

Hi ladies! Okay so I'm a teenage girl who isn't sexually active yet and don't really plan on being so anytime soon(don't have a boyfriend and not really interested in that sort of thing yet). Anyways I want to start taking some form of birth control for my period because it annoys me a lot(it probably annoys every girl) but my question is what form of birth control are you taking and for what reasons? As well as a follow up question on how it's affected your period/body(weight,acne,etc.)? Also I tell my mom everything so I would obviously tell her I want to take birth control and she knows I'm not sexually active and would understand why I would want birth control but she doesn't really like me taking medicine/drugs at all so is there any negative body side affects to birth control and/or is there a birth control that doesn't affect your body as much as another?
