Any non-hormonal form of birth control (that isn't an IUD?)

I'm just curious because I want to have birth control as a backup, but am worried about the toll it'll have on my body, as well as any side effects. I really don't want an IUD just because I'm not comfortable with that. Are there any pills or patches that are non-hormonal?

There's a pill called Lo Loestrine that has a lower dose of hormones than typical pills. I'm actually allergic to hormones so I can't take regular birth control, I have a severe reaction to it. I haven't taken Lo Loestrine due to fear of having a reaction again (it was awful) but my Gyn said that the hormones shouldn't have as much of an effect since it's a lower dose.

Condoms. I guess you could go to the doctor and get fitted for a diaphragm, but I don't know the effectiveness of that. There's also vcf/spermicide, but i personally wouldn't want to put those chemicals up there (plus they cause irritation in a lot of cases). Or there's the sponge, if that's still a thing. I really wouldn't trust a non hormonal option outside of the iud and condoms. But that's just me.
