Getting my IUD inserted tomorrow

I'm getting my IUD inserted tomorrow and I'm freaking out a bit...maybe a lot...lol

I've never had kids so I'm terrified it's going so be SUPER painful! I've prepared for the worst but we'll see. I may be on my period at the time (took my first inactive pill last night but no period yet) which I heard can help.

I'll be taking ibuprofen about an hour ahead of time and I also have Ativan (for other purposes but that I can take for this if needed). I have a full 4 days off (thank you long weekend!!) in case I get any bad cramps or other initial side effects. My boyfriend will also be taking me and driving me home so I don't have to worry about that at all.

Any tips or pointers maybe just some reassurance from ladies without kids that have had one inserted?? Any little bit helps!! Thanks :)
