Does your hormonal IUD (Mirena/Liletta/Skyla) cause dryness during sex?

Hey everybody, I'm considering getting a hormonal IUD but have heard from almost everyone it causes serious vaginal dryness. This would be a deal-breaker for me. Who has experienced this?

I have a skyla IUD and it's caused significant dryness for me. I'll be fine to start and then all of a sudden I'm dry. It's getting very annoying!

I got my mirena removed almost one month ago and I am able to get so much more wet naturally now and we no longer need to use lubricants

I had my Skyla IUD for almost 9 months and had many problems with it. I got recurrent yeast/ UTI infections and experienced vaginal dryness. It was so bad that after my partner and I were done having sex, I was in horrible pain. It felt like someone had put a match in my vagina. My OBGYN and I tried to find solutions for this problem to no avail. I finally had it removed two weeks ago and sex has been better for me. The burning sensation went away!

I used to have no problem getting super wet and have been in committed relation for years. I am coming up on 2 years with my Mirena and for the past few months I have been experiencing extreme dryness to the point where we have to stop having sex because it hurts too much. It starts out okay but after a few minutes I am bone dry. I have seen others talking about sex drive but very few talking about my problem. I still desire my boyfriend, he still turns me on, I still want to have sex, in fact I get horny more than he does. But it always ends terribly, at least for me. Sometimes I let him finish and just tough it out, but I hate that I stop enjoying myself halfway through. And I don't want him to think he isn't turning me on anymore. We decided tonight it was time to go buy lube, something we have never needed before, just so we can go back to having great sex.

you know what i was having sex just this weekend and i was feelin fine and then all of a sudden a little blood came out and my bf freaked out, i think i got dry and hurt myself, in the beginning it was amazing when i got my IUD but now im getting vaginal dryness 😭 idk if i should take it out or not im debating but i also have unprotected sex and my bf loves finishing inside of me nd i dnt want a baby just yet 😭

I got a Mirena IUD due to chronic pelvic pain, I also take Cyproterone to help control the pain.  I am just about due to have this IUD removed and am trying to decide if maybe I should see how I go without one for a bit (it has been nearly 10 years now with an IUD in - this is my 2nd one).
I struggle with vaginal sex because it is just so darn uncomfortable.   
I have a lot of foreplay prior to intercourse however as with other's comment's I start to feel uncomfortable friction very quickly - even though my vagina is anything but "dry", without the use of lube intercourse isn't even possible because it hurt's too much.
I am pleased to have come across this an a few other post's on this topic!

I also have the Skyla IUD and it's caused extreme vaginal dryness. Sex is painful. I've had it for four months so far.
