Birth Control

Okay so me and my boy spent some time together last night at the house...we used a condom the first time, but every time after that we didn't. I have the birth control rod or implant. I know when you don't use protection that you always risk the chance of getting pregnant whether on bc or not. But my question is how accurate is the rod? Ladies? Advice, stories, etc.
