So, I am 16 & live in a smaller town of around 5,500. We have such a small crime rate that I can't even think of the last time we had a crime. Today, around 8, I told my mom I was headed to Walmart. She told me that she wished I had gone earlier when it was light out. She continued to talk about how people abduct, drug, & rape young girls in public places. I said I was sorry for not going earlier & that I'd be careful. She told about two more times that I should have gone earlier & I said, "I'm sorry I didn't think of it earlier, but we can't change the past." The next thing she said literally gave me chills. She said to me, "well it's you fault if you get raped!!"
