Boyfriend is going on away camping without me.

My bf was meant to spend Easter with my family but a couple days ago he tells me: "you can say no, but my friends want me to go camping with them over Easter, you're invited too." At first I was really mad. He agreed to see my family, he is letting them down not just me its very rude. And I thought that he shouldn't be asking me he should just say no to camping straight away. I told him how dissapointed I was and he said he would stay for me. But I didn't want to be that bitchy gf who doesn't let him see his friends. So I said he can go. I would go too but I am working Easter Saturday and Sunday. And he is going Saturday -Tuesday. He will have no signal I can't talk to him for 4 days! Also I just started a new full time job and I was meant to see him when he gets back but now I can't because I'm working. So I won't see him till next weekend. I'm going to miss him so much and I'm worried about his safety and I don't want him to go. Do you think he shouldn't be going or am I over reacting?
