HELP! Period or not?

Question

What do I classify as a period and what do I classify as just spotting.
I'm discharging really dark brown/almost black blood/mucus and it's not even enough to wear a pad.
Should I go to the doctors?
I'm also on the implant contraceptive method and have been since the 27th of Feb.

Wait a few hours. If it gets heavier like AF, it's a period. If it lightens up or goes away, it's spotting. If it's too heavy for a pantyliner, it's probably a period.

I've had this problem before while on birth control. It's really normal if it happens for a few days or even weeks. I would be too worried unless pain started to occur. (Not cramps)

Either way, you don't need to go to the doctor for it. Both spottin and bleeding are normal me strudel occurrences, especially if you've started contraception.
