The average American adult daughter with kids only lives within 18 miles from her mom...my mom lives 1100 miles away. I'm a first time mom of my wonderful two-month-old son. My mom and I haven't always seen eye to eye, but we love each other. It's so hard not having her close. Moving is not an option for either of us and it's hard sometimes to have no one I can call no matter what to help with the baby. My husbands family lives close to us, but it's nothing like having my mom close by. Miss her and my baby misses his Mimi!
