It depends on when you go back to work. I will have 6 weeks off so they told me to start pumping after 3 weeks, and do it multiple times a day after the baby finished eating. It will help build up your supply and give you a stock pile.

I would pump after feeding... Especially during the day. Then when you go back to work you will pump during those times.
