Mother of the groom gift ?

Are you supposed to give mother of groom a gift at rehearsal dinner like your bridesmaids ? Who did this?

I didn't get her anything. But, then again, that's probably because she didn't deserve anything & I can't stand the lady. 😂

We gave both sets of parents a gift (etsy has good stuff) during reh dinner when we did wedding party gifts

My MIL was a nightmare before our wedding, we still got her a gift as well as my mum and are glad we did. We also brought our dads a gift and gave our grandmas flowers 😊 we didn't do a traditional wedding, all the family helped out so much though, we wanted to give them gifts 🙂

At our rehearsal dinner we gave our bridal party (1bridesmaid, MOH, BestMan, 1 groomsman), mother-in-law, father-in-law,  my mom, my dad, and his baby sister a gift. We got engraved beer mugs and specialty batman cufflinks for the BestMan and GM and engraved sterling silver heart necklaces with a jewelry box for the MOH and BridesMaid from Things Remembered. For the mothers and sister we got color pearl necklaces. For the father's we got them engraved pocket watches.

I don't believe it's a necessity that you get the in-laws gifts or the Mother and Father of the Bride.

I've never heard of this but I guess ️maybe some people do? Why would you though? Just curious not trying to be vain. Traditionally the brides family basically pays for everything and bridesmaids usually help plan etc. so I can understand the mom of bride and bridesmaids but lol I don't know?
