If you pump before baby is here, when baby gets here your flow will be too much for babe and you will be more engorged than if you let your baby tell your breast how much they need and when.

I don't see how it could hurt. You might not get anything, but you'll be training your breasts to get them ready and if you do just store it till baby comes. Especially the colostrum.
