What's labor feel like?

I keep asking family and friends. But it's like they act all scared/nervous to tell me. Like they don't Wanna scare me?.. idk lol.. I assume pain. But I'd just like to know a Lil bit about what's about to happen to me.

It's the worst pain in the world and the best pain in the world all at once. It hurts so bad. But it's overwhelmed by joy.

You should think about taking a prenatal class. I did and it was a lot of help. ;)

I guess the only way I can explain it is if you have ever had a muscle cramp. Contractions are like a really, really, really strong muscle cramp in your uterus.

Everyone is different. I'm almost 37 weeks & keep having cramps & I get worried & everyone says "oh you'll know!" But my bestfriend didn't know! She was 5 centimeters & had no clue, she had an easy labor! & ive seen so many mothers on here have their babies in cars bc they had no idea! That's one of my fears is having my baby at home or in the car bc my cramps weren't concerning enough & I truly was in active labor. Some people have a high pain tolerance & some people just don't have that bad of pain!

it can be different for everyone, I think people tend to forget that. for me, the contractions didn't get really bad until they gave me a lot of pitocin, but after that they got pretty unbearable mostly because they were insanely close together. Don't let anyone scare you, your labor experience is going to be very different than everyone else's. you might end up loving it, pain and all!
