Teething?

Question

To the left of my finger it's hard and bumpy and now has a red spot on it. I always thought the first tooth was middle bottom. Is it possible his first tooth is where I think it is? 
 it is?

I'm not completely sure if your little one is teething. I HAVE heard and KNOW other kids to get teeth other places first and not the "middle bottom two/middle top two" first kind of thing..
With my daughter when she cut her first 4, which were "the normal place" we didn't see or feel much until we felt the tiny little bumps and a few days later you cold see little white buds.. for the other teeth my daughters gums SWELLED, some even turned blue, with her top teeth the gums were very red and inflamed compared to the rest of her mouth.. keep an eye on it, it could be.

Also you don't always have to go by age for teething.. my daughter got her first tooth coming in between 3 and 4 months, and then had a mouth full, molars and all by the time she was 9-10 months.

Good luck, cold tethers and oragel, and very rarely did we give her Tylenol but I'd have these things ready in preparation, or whatever you feel comfortable giving your little one for teething (:

Probably teething. Every child is different and teeth can pop up wherever they decide to,a friend of mine has 4 kids and they all got canines firsts!! It doesn't look as if your baby is going to cut a tooth anytime soon though. The gums will be bumpy and red until a tooth cuts.
