Preeclampsia??

Has anyone been diagnosed with preeclampsia? I'm 32 weeks and having a lot of swelling in feet, hands and some face but it is more chronic not just sudden. I bought a bp kit and when I do it I get around 158/90, but not sure if it's accurate since I'm taking it myself? Just wondering what others experiences were.

158/90 is high and regardless of whether or not it develops into pre-e you need to go in.

I had it with my daughter and the only symptom I had was high blood pressure. I would call your dr.

My sister had it. Almost lost her and my niece. Call your dr. They can do a 24 hour urine test to tell them if there's an issue.

If you are at all concerned call your doctor ASAP. I am hypertensive so I have the same symptoms and borderline the preeclampsia panels. I have testing done every two weeks to be sure it doesn't switch over. I have a lot of swelling! Not just hands and feet but my legs too.

My midwife was concerned about preeclampsia as well, I doubled my water intake, (about 2 gallons a day) and cut my sodium way way way down and my blood pressure evened out. Still get swelling. But I saw her today and she's not as concerned.

I have prehypertension with my blood pressure being in the 140's....until there is protein in the urine they can't classify as preclampsia is what my doctor told me. I don't have any swelling but have blurred vision, and extreme dizziness when my blood pressure spikes. Always contact your doctor if your having those symptoms and not feeling like yourself. You know your body better than anyone
