In laws touched my stomach
I am 12 weeks today. We had Easter dinner with his family yesterday and despite the 3 hours of baby talk, I was holding my composure fairly well until we went to leave. His mother and grandmother hugged me and then patted my stomach. I know they're excited and all but...there's not much baby belly there yet. It's still mostly pudge and it doesn't want to be touched! I have no problem telling his family to back off but I would rather he stood up for me and told them to ease up on the love. 😁
It would be different if they had made an effort to show interest in me before I was pregnant. Now it feels like I'm the incubator for the 1st grandbaby and that is all I am. I'm still adjusting to being pregnant and realizing I'm going to be a mom. All they want to talk about is baby and pregnancy. I'm still a person even though I'm pregnant 😕
Anyone else dealing with overbearing families?
