Can dogs sense labor coming?!

I've heard dogs can sense pregnancy, but has anyone ever heard of or have a story about their dog sensing their labor coming? My dog has been extra affectionate the last couple days; I'm currently 35 weeks. She is following me everywhere and laying in whatever room I'm in. She was a little more affectionate in the beginning, but now it is pretty extreme...

Following, because my 2 dogs Are always big babies, but lately they have been SO clingy! Lucy stays in my lap and will push anything out of her way (laptop, book, phone, etc) to make sure she gets to lay there. Trigger, our GSP, is usually a HUGE daddy's boy but for the last couple of weeks has been smothering me. He will only lay with me and it's like he can't get close enough to me. It's really sweet but sometimes a little much.

My chihuahua terrier mix is about 7 years old so he's been around me for awhile. With my first pregnancy I was taking a warm bath and he jumped on the side of the tub and just sat there and whined at me. #1 he hates water #2 I went into labor the next day lol I'll be waiting for his signs this time around on baby #2!

This happened to me only with our two cats.
Followed me around all over the house just staring at me before I even knew I was in actual labor yet. Then of course when contractions began later on.

I'm going to pay attention to my chihuahua and two big dogs just in case. My chihuahua is the one who sat on my stomach and whined and just stared at me laying on my tummy and chest. So I got up and took a preggo test and boom 4 weeks prego.  So maybe he will lemme know when labor comes too. It'd be cool :)

I don't know but I would say given their keen sense of smell that maybe you smell a little different and that sets then off. However I doubt that they know why you are different. I don't have a dog just guessing here.

I was at a get together at a friends house a few months ago. There were 5 pregnant women there and all were in their 2nd trimester with the exception of one person who was a week from her due date. The person who was hosting the event had a dog and he would not stop smelling, jumping on and even humping the full term woman. It was hilarious to watch (not for the woman) but I definitely think the dog knew she was about to have a baby. He didn't sniff any of the rest of us preggos.
