Preterm Contractions
I've been in terrible pain for almost a week now (started last Monday) not until Wednesday did I realize I was having contractions (I'm 27 weeks). I was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday and discharged Friday. My doctor said my degenerating fibroids caused me to have preterm contractions and after 3 different meds decided procardia worked best and sent me home on bed rest. I have to take the procardia every 6 hours just to tolerate the pain and honestly by hour 4 I'm back to square one. I have another visit with her today before she releases me to go back to work. I'm still in pain, yesterday the procardia didn't help nearly as much. I feel so hopeless. I just started a new job one month ago and I'm supposed to be there learning and showing my worth prior to my maternity leave but here I am. I'm in pain and I'm really scared this won't go away anytime soon. How can I work like this? My husband has been great and supportive but I know he's worried too.
Anyone have any advice or words of encouragement? I'm in desperate need of support or any insight you guys might have.
