Membrane sweep ?

Today my Dr did a membrane sweep on me, I am 39 weeks... He said i was dialted to a 2... Just wondering if any other mommies have had this done and if it helped bring on labor. pregnancy is a beautiful thing but at this point i am very over it : (

I had mine done yesterday morning. I'm also 39 weeks and 1 day and 2 cm. Still no action

I had mine swept two times with baby number one and there were no immediate changed with baby number two they did it once and nothing at all happened, I had to be induced at 40+3 weeks 
Today I am going in with baby number 3 at 38+3 and praying it starts something.... All pregnancies are different... It's all just a waiting game to see what works for you

What exactly is it? And how did it feel?

It worked with my second baby, I had my sweep and delivered the next day. I've had two sweeps so far, last one being yesterday so I still have until 11Am tomorrow, but nothing happening yet, I'm pretty sure my girl is stubborn like me and I'll have to be induced, ugh.

My daughter was still 6 days late. I had a sweep done on my due date and nothing helped lol. Good luck!

My water broke 2 days after my sweep with my 2nd and I was induced with a sweep at 39wks with my 3rd. They were trying it to see if they could avoid pictocin which was a total success for me. It was a bit more aggressive than most sweeps she did it very deep and hard to really aggravate my uterus
