Did you know you had preeclampsia

Question

Those of you who have been diagnosed with preeclampsia, did you have any symptoms or did it surprise you at doctors office? How far along were you when you were diagnosed?

With my first pregnancy I didn't start showing sign until 36 weeks....I had a ton of swelling clear up my legs, dizziness, blurred vision or seeing spots....I went in a day before my scheduled Dr apt to see my doctor because I knew something was wrong. My blood pressure was in 150's/90's and I had alot of protein in my urine. Got induced that night and was on magnesium the whole time to keep blood pressure down. Had my baby vaginally the next evening and he was a healthy 7 pounds at 37 weeks. No NICU time!

This pregnancy my blood pressure has slowly been climbing since 28 weeks...,been in the 140's/80 's so far with only a trace amount of protein since 34 weeks.  I have episodes where my blood pressure spikes and I am really dizzy with a severe headache tylenol won't help. When that happens I go in and they monitor me. 35 weeks now and have been doing weekly Dr Apts since 32 weeks. On modified bed rest to try and help keep blood pressure down.

I went to the doctor office where I did my weekly check up. I was 39+4 weeks I was told to leave go home get Everything together I needed for the hospital because this baby had to come .. My labor sucked I had to lay on my left side the whole time through everything. I needed up having a c section because I stopped dilating at 5 cm and he was stuck in the birth canal. My c section and recovery was a lot better then the labor and contractions I went through since then I had my daughter via c section a year and half ago and I'm due may third with my third child and she is will be April 26 via c section ..
