Is the implant a good choice?

My husband wants me to get the implant but i heard so many girls tell me they dont have their period that much and have had other issues?

The side effects of it were really bad for me .. Mood swings weight gain , but it also cleared my skin and I didn't have any periods the entire time I was on it ... Also when your on BC there's no need to have a period because it prevents ovulation (that's how it's effective ) but it's up to you and how your body reacts to the hormones.

I just got on it and so far it's helping me a lot with what my old birth control did to me. I was on the depo shot and it made my hair fall out, have me bad mood swings, gave me bad acne, I was on my period for 3 months, I have really bad vaginal dryness now, I had literally no sex drive, and it was horrible all together. The depo also stays in your system for a year but only the first 3 months are capable of preventing pregnancy. So basically for 9 months you literally get side effects for nothing. It was the worst birth control I could've ever been on. Ever since I started the implant (about 2 weeks ago) my hair hasn't fallen out as bad, I can feel my sex drive coming back, no acne, and my mood swings are little to none but I still have them on bad days. So far, I would highly suggest the implant. But you might want to take someone else's word who's been on it longer. I know 2 people who have been on it for 1-2 years and neither of them have bad mood swings, acne, or a low sex drive. Hope this helps! I'll post a picture of the bruise it gave me to give you a heads up on that. It's almost fully gone now after about 2 weeks or so.

I personally hated when I was on it. It messed with my emotions. I never had a problem with depression until I got on the nexplanon and i still fight with it. And I've been off it for more than a year. My anxiety was terrible too. If you do decide to go to the implant just make sure it's the right choice and to listen to your body.
