pcos & fertility questions :(

so i have pcos and ttc baby #1. i have 2-3 periods a year, i was on 1700mg of metformin for about 4 months and nothing happened. no period no weight change & no BFP. :( .. so i stopped taking it due to the side effects and not being able to function/go to work/making my kidneys ache. i dont have health insurance and im going to see my primary doc on thursday, do you girls know if she is able to prescribe me provera and clomid? and my BMI of 33.5.. is there a weight requirement for fertility meds?
