Positive or evap?

So yesterday I took a dollar store test, barely waited the 2 minutes, it looked negative so I got pissed and through it on the sink. I went back in the bathroom to throw it out and now it has a faint line? I read that if the line has color, it might be positive but if the line is gray, it is most likely an evap. Thoughts?
