Why hasn't he asked me to marry him?

I have been with my boyfriend for 3 and a half years, we have a mortgage, cat, dog etc and I have even stopped taking my BC as we said we will see what happens.
But there is one thing that is really upsetting me and that is that we aren't engaged. He knows how much I want to be, I've even cried a few times saying I don't understand how he can say he loves me so much and knows how much I want to get married but still won't ask me! All my friends and family who have been together less time than us are getting engaged. He said its because he wants to be better off financially to give me the ring and wedding a deserve but I told him I don't care!
What should I do?

Maybe he hasn't asked cause he doesn't need to? He's already got you, a shared home, pets.....get what I mean? Does he know you want this? Maybe he's saving for a ring and/or wedding? Talk to him.

I was with my husband 3 years when I woke up and realized if I acted as if wife I gave him no reason to marry me as soon as I stopped everything cooking cleaning anything a wife would do that's when he realized I was serious I didn't even have sex with him for 3 months and that 4th we were at the court house lol 😂 don't give him any kids with out that 💍👰🏾 u have morals stick to them☺️

If you're concerned about him not proposing and marrying you, then you should hold off on having children with him. You should think about and reevaluate why you want to get married. If you want to get married because that's what all your friends are doing, you're getting married for the wrong reason. Remember it's not a race. But if it's still something you are worried about you should have a conversation with him about where you are in your relationship, where you're going, how you feel about marriage, and why without getting upset.

Marriage isn't a competition and you can't put a time line on it... Just because YOU are ready doesn't mean he is... My husband and I didn't get married till we together for 5 years!
