Is my 15 year old daughter ready for birth control? She's had her period for about 4 years now and she is currently dating some boy. A year older than her

Talk to her about it. If she wants it then put her on it. If she doesn't then educate her about safe sex and pregnancy and let her know that at any point she feels like she'd like it that you're there to assist her.

Yes I think it is better safe than sorry. You don't want your daughter getting pregnant at 15. I've been active since 13 and I wish my mom was there for me, how you sound to be there for your daughter.

Yes, not alot of kids are ok with talking to a parent about sex/ getting on birth control. I am one of them. Get her on birth control but have a talk with her saying this does not mean to go have sex, and to always use condoms, ect. The basic sex talk. Goodluck 😌

I think that would be a very smart choice. I'm fifteen and I had unprotected sex. I told my mom and you never realize what the consequences are until it actually happens. I totally regret what I did so I think it would be great as long as she wants to do it

I'm almost 18 and have had my period since 7th grade, I'm also extremely irregular and in a relationship (not sexually active though). I have talked to my mom about it for a really long time so I'm not always stressing about my next period and I am still not on it due to her just blowing it off. I would definitely discuss it with her, also make it known that its not just for sexual activities and doesn't 100% prevent pregnancy. If she says not ready for it but at another point in time feels that she would like to be placed on it allows her to feel more comfortable discussing the topic with you and leads to her being open to other topics that deal with the same matters.

I'm 15 and in a current relationship. during the summer I had a fling and lost my virginity. I told my mom about it and we talked about every possible situation. we then both agreed on the iud. I was just happy my mom was there for me and helped me.

Ask her about it casually. Without anyone around. Reassure her that she doesn't have to tell you if she's having sex. The option for birth control is there if she needs it without judgement.

I'm 15, and recently lost my virginity to my best mate, I wish I could talk to my mum about it but she knows that my best mate has slept with other girls before and she'd be worried, i recommend talking to your daughter about birth control just in case, I wish my mum did 🙃
