First Steps After Difficulty TTC

Are there any more first steps besides cold medicine, clomid, and pre-seed? Those are the three things I see people pursuing about regularly. Any other suggestions for someone who's just starting on the journey of struggling but isn't quite to the major infertility treatments yet?
