Try things with only one ingredient first like carrots, peas, apples. Also use the same food three days in a row to make sure there are no allergies present!

My only advice is don't force it, give it a try but not all babies are ready for solids at 6 months so don't let anyone bully you into feeding him solids if he isn't ready. Mine were all closer to 8-9 months before they had the ability to get food to the back of their throat and swallow without gagging.

I started this week with my 4 month old. We do small bites till he adjusts to the taste and then he usually pushes his face towards the spoon. I started w puréed avocado and then we are moving to peas. Just go slow,let him tell you when he's full. I usually wait about 45 minutes after his bottle so his belly has some room too.
