Dual Nursery Theme

I am wanting for my daughter to share her room with my baby boy when he arrives because they will be just under 2 years apart. My husband loves pirates so I was thinking of doing a pirate and mermaid theme with probably neutral greys and aqua coloring for the walls. These are a few of my pinterest finds:
