Had a transvaginal sonogram today, gestational sac visible. hCG = 18,772, progesterone = 12.8. Doc couldn't find heart beat. She mentioned dating could be wrong but proceeded to prescribe me meds "just in case I miscarry". Going to have hCG tested again on Thu, then she said we'd decide if we should continue with the pregnancy. Um, isn't that my husband and my choice? Personally think her equipment is ancient and it was simply too early. Will proceed with hCG and if it's nearly doubled will find another doc. Been crying all day and may be for nothing. My other 2 children didn't even have ultrasounds until nearly 10-12 wks. So upset!!!
