Ignorant people.
Our son who's 5 has barbies he likes to play with and my husband went to a park with him, our daugher and his friend & their son.
Their son was playing with the boys and ours sat with some little girls and they played with his barbies which is perfectly fine.
So that mother and her friend sat to the bench next to my husband and his friend, talking about "that gay little boy who's playing with barbies" and asked my husband if thats normal, she obviously wanted to flirt with him and didnt even know it was his son she was talking about so he told her that was his son.
She said she was sorry at first and asked him then why his mommy isnt there and my husband "HAS TO" go with the kid.
He and his friend got up and left the park with the kids and told me that when they came home and I'm still furious.
How can people talk like that about a little boy? Did that ever happen to you that people come up to you and tell you your son is gay? I wouldnt have a problem with him being gay, he's healthy, happy,educated, nice, respectful and all that so I don't really care about anything else but is society really that disgusting that people assume a LITTLE BOY is gay because he's playing with Barbies?
Am I overreacting?
