Should I confront him

Okay so me and this guy have been talking for a while and stuff but every time we get into deep conversation he says " I wanna go out with you but I'm not ready" and I know how he feels because I was the same but no it kinda sucks cause all he wants to do is fool around and I'm not for it anymore and I don't know how to ask him what he see's me fore or if he honestly likes me.😩😒
