When you go to the gyno to get birth control, do they have to do a pelvic exam? (It would be the first visit)

I guess it depends on your location. In the UK I've never once (in over 10 years) been given a physical examination when requesting birth control. A few questions and blood pressure readings is it here.

Yes! They have to make sure everything is healthy enough for you to be on BC and that you're not already pregnant or they could get sued for any complications to your health/the fetus.

I highly recommend for anyone to consider the paragaurd IUD. Hormonal BC always messed with my emotions like PMS. The paragaurd uses copper. I had one for years until I stared a family. Worked great!

It depends, if you're sexually active they usually will, if not and you just want birth control to regulate your period, they may not. You could probably call the office you're going to and speak to a nurse to find out for sure.
