Tongue tied

Sedaya • My name is Sedaya and I'm 23. My husband and I have been together since 2009 and got married April 2015. We have a four year old daughter and had our second daughter 4-16-16 :)
OK so my daughter had her tongue clipped at 3 months old. She is now four years old. She was in speech therapy from age 1.5 to 3. She has an excellent vocabulary now and is a chatterbox. Now we are having difficulty with her eating. She doesn't eat meat and she only eats certain foods because she will gag if she eats new things. She has lost a lot of weight so I put her in feeding therapy. The food therapist thinks she needs to have her tongue clipped again. I'm opposed to this because that's really traumatic for a 4 year old plus we just started this therapy and I would like to see if we can make progress without cutting her tongue! This morning my grandma says to me oh call the doctor to get her tongue clipped and I told her I wanted to wait and see how well she does in therapy and she got mad at me. I'm sorry but what if that's not the main problem and I put my daughter through that for no reason. Of course if therapy doesn't help then I'll consider the procedure, but I don't want to jump into it. What would you do? She seems to be doing a little better and we have her on Pedia sure to give her what she needs in the meantime. Yesterday at therapy she ate a hot dog!
