Tried evening primrose oil.

38 weeks exactly. I tried evening primrose oil the night after my doctor appt telling me I was 0 dilated and 50% effaced. I inserted 2 capsules vaginally around 11pm. Around 4 am I woke up to a HUGE gush of fluid. Kinda panicking now. I woke my husband up and told him about it, we both searched the Internet and decided we should go in. Had to pack my bags and we went. Once I got to the hospital they ran tests and said it wasn't amniotic fluid. So we stayed there an hour and a half and was sent home. Still not sure what it was. No color, odor, or texture. Just fluid, she said I was having extra vaginal discharge but nothing concerning. I'm convinced it was the oil now, causing a buildup of fluid.
