She was completely out of line.  Whether she agreed with his hair or not any valid point she has become secondary when she begins to put her hands on him.  I love how she tried to turn it around saying don't put your hands on me.  I HATE when people do that.  Then again, I am not a supporter of appropriation.  I wish he would have accused her of appropriating his male culture by wearing pants.

As a hair dresser, I really wish for the sake of all races and all people, we would stop correlating specific hair as belonging to a specific race. I can fully understand that styles often come from culture but hair type often is a factor in what styles a person can have and maintain and while certain hair types are common among certain races, they are never exclusive. I have seen cases of discrimination and prejudice involving hair, whether natural or styled, involving people of multiple races. This guy was being harassed for being white with locks, my black friend who is a hair dresser has been turned down for jobs in salons because she wears her hair natural after having to do the dreaded big chop, my read headed friend is constantly accused of cultural appropriation because it's hard for people to accept her hair naturally fros and she is not styling it that way, it seems like a losing battle. I myself have been harassed for having such dark hair with pale skin. And what ever happened to basic respect?

I just researched this some more, she is not an employee.  And the campus police are investigating it and will hand it over to the DA, so she may very well be facing charges.
