Hypothetical relationship issues

What do you do when you're dating a really sweet guy who would do anything for you but your ex comes along and you know nothing compares to the way he makes you feel? He is a good guy and you know he can keep you interested. Your ex never did anything terrible that caused the relationship to end, it's just a mutual thing. What would you do? Hypothetically of course
