How long after a breakup did you start dating again?

My last relationship ended 6 months ago. It wasn't the longest (just 1 year 7 months), but it was the most significant; I was very much in love with him. Anyway, even though I'm over it, the thought of dating again makes me feel exhausted. Is that normal?

2 months. But when we parted ways we never intended to get back together again. I was in a really good place in moving forward and so was he. We had not spoken or had any contact whatsoever for those 2 months but as soon as we started talking again things just got played out that way!

IT ALWAYS DEPENDS ON THE CONTEXT. Every break up is DIFFERENT and more often than not- there is a reason why it wasn't working. It just depends what that reason was.

Yeah, its totally normal. I had lots of short term relationships and after a while it just got old, lol. There's nothing wrong with being alone for now and waiting for another opportunity to meet someone else. I always found that when I stopped looking, that's when i found something worthwhile :-). The longest i went after my 1st ltr ended was 3 years i spent jist rediscovering myself then i met my now husband. Everything happens for everybody at different times.
