High risk for Downs Syndrome - UK
Anyone else come back as high risk in the UK? Pretty upset and worried. The hospital rang and talked me through the options for us to carry on with some screening. Said that due to my age and the blood test combined I'm high risk. Four options were:
a) Private blood test £450 which is very accurate and quick.
b) aminocintethis on the NHS but 1% risk of miscarriage, not that quick but mostly accurate.
c) some other needle through the belly test but more accurate and has a 2% risk of miscarriage
d) Do nothing
Confused! Anyone else in the same boat?
