First Ultrasound Shock

My husband and I eagerly went to our first ultrasound yesterday morning. The nurse couldn't find a heartbeat with the ultrasound so she said she needed to get the doctor and do it trans-vaginally. Finally, we were able to see the sac but there wasn't a heartbeat or even a developed baby.

Rather than a happy outcome, we spent our first doctor visit going over options for either having a D&C or waiting for a natural expulsion.

My husband and I were in shock - we were so excited for our first OB visit, so excited to have our first baby and then we had such a let down. We both agree that this has made us stronger, we feel very close to each other since we are going through a heartbreak together.
